Thanks for being here. When I started Tribute, all I knew was that I liked making cookies and I liked making ones that honored the lives of some really outstanding people. But business is a tricky thing and this wasn’t my full-time job, so it was hard to find the right price point for something that took me hours of design but was just a dessert to my clients.

I began to think a lot about value. What mattered to me was less about the dollars in my pocket (here’s a secret— it’s hard to make money as a cookie artist), but rather that people respected my time and effort. I love creating and using my cookies as canvases. I love making people cry over the details I’ve worked into my sets, because then I know that it was worth the hand cramps from piping icing.

So I increased my prices. But I changed where the money was going. Now my cookies support five wonderful nearby nonprofits. Tribute doesn’t take a single cent from the client. Instead, clients can donate to one of these nonprofits and still get to come away with an incredible gift for a person or an event.

When I’m not baking, you’ll find me mothering two gorgeous kiddos, hanging out with my husband, working as a SANE, treating as a FNP, or drinking a London Fog.
